Tip of the Week -- NewslettersOver the past 16 years, we have run into many situations that are uncommon or unclear to the potential buyers, situations that are hard to explain in a report. And just when I thought I have seen everything...Wham! There it is, the 478th (or is it the 479th) wonder of the world right before my eyes. If the "Good Book" was ever rewritten it would tell you that after the original seven wonders of the world, all the rest were found during home inspections. Sometimes I just stand there and stare, shaking my head in amazement. When the homeowners ask us what we are doing, I just say " I'm shaking the spider webs out of my hair " and try to regain my composure. When we run into one of these situations, we have to explain the condition, the remedy, and the potential hazards involved to everyone connected with the home (i.e. buyers, sellers, Real Estate agents) and even professional contractors who were brought in after the inspection to evaluate what we described in the report. As your home inspection firm, house consultant, and new friend we like stay involved. We try to provide as much information as possible on any system or component, we will even talk to the contractors brought in to further evaluate the situation, and stand behind what we have found. When we find a situation that may require an additional explanation, we put them into a newsletter format. These newsletters can be printed and included with your on-site home inspection report. Follow the directions below and cuddle up to the monitor for some good reading. (Check out the new MOLD section)
